PerfectIt

When writing documents, especially complex ones, there are many factors which you should take into account. For example, you need to check the spelling, number of sentences, number of specific words and so on. For all these factors, Microsoft Word is not enough, as its spell checker is a bit limited and doesn't offer the flexibility you need.

Fortunately, there is an application which can help you in this situation and it's called PerfectIt. This Microsoft Word add-in can do much more than just checking for spelling mistakes, as it also includes features for checking the type of phrases used inside a document, the number of times certain words are used and so on. Taking all these factors into account can improve by far the quality and constituency of a a document. After the add-in is installed, the user will just need to open up Microsoft Word and he will be able to launch PerfectIt from the Add-ins menu. The program is compatible with almost any MS Word version, including the newer 2013 version.

When launching the main interface of PerfectIt, the user will be asked what tests should be carried out. By default, all 27 tests are selected. While these tests are running, the user will be asked after each of them to perform an action on the document. For example, if a word is found to be misspelled, the user will be asked to correct it or replace it with another word. Besides checking for spelling mistakes, PerfectIt can also fix some phrases which are not detected as being correct. The program can even detect abbreviations, spelling variations and so on.
